We are looking for a colleague with solid technical skills within IFRS and financial reporting processes to join Corporate Accounting at Novo Nordisk. You will be part of the team that drives our quarterly and annual financial reporting and contributes to the continued development of how we prepare and communicate our results.
Your New Role
Together with the team, you will be responsible for:
- Prepare the annual report and quarterly company announcements of the Novo Nordisk Group and further develop the high quality of our external reporting
- Take lead in cross-functional projects to provide accounting guidance on business development transactions and complex accounting topics
- Take part in optimising the financial reporting processes through digitalisation and automation initiatives
- Participate in preparing materials for the Audit Committee, CFO and external auditors
- Assessing the impact from new or amended IFRS accounting standards and taking part in updating the Novo Nordisk Accounting Manual
Your New Department
You will be part of the External Reporting team, a team of 6 professionals responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting to top management and external stakeholders.
The team is part of Corporate Accounting which is also responsible for the closing of consolidated financial statements, internal controls, the external ESG reporting and payroll. Working on these topics will also provide an opportunity for cross-collaboration within the department, fostering a more integrated approach to our external reporting.
Your skills and qualifications
The successful candidate would have a Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a similar field, with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
You should also possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Knowledge of and keen interest in IFRS accounting standards, whether at a specialist level or with a solid foundation that we can build on together
- A proven ability to challenge existing routines and rethink how we ensure continued high quality in our external reporting
- A strong sense of responsibility for tasks and projects, with a collaborative spirit and willingness to take the lead.
- Experience or interest in digitalisation of data and processes will be an advantage as this is a priority for our organisation.
- Fluent in written and spoken English
