The position

Together with the team, you will be responsible to:
 

  • prepare the annual report and quarterly announcements of the Novo Nordisk Group and maintain the high quality
     
  • be actively involved in cross-functional projects to provide accounting guidance to the business on significant and unusual business transactions
     
  • take part in the optimising the reporting process and the internal controls over same
     
  • be involved in assessing how new or amended IFRS accounting standards impact our external accounting policies and the Novo Nordisk Accounting Manual
     
  • take part in preparing material for the Audit Committee as well as external and internal auditors

 

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you hold a Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar, and have preferably at least 4-8 years of experience from a similar position or as an auditor working with IFRS reporting and consolidated financials.

 

Furthermore, the ideal candidate:
 

  • Excel at challenging existing routines and rethinking how we take responsibility for a continued high quality in our external reporting
     
  • Bring a strong sense of responsibility for tasks and projects
     
  • Enjoy interacting with colleagues at all levels, but also not be afraid to lead the way
     
  • Have knowledge and keen interest in IFRS accounting standards, either at a specialist level or with a solid foundation that we can build on together
     
  • Experience or interest in digitalisation of data and processes will be an advantage as strategic initiatives is a priority in the organisation.
     
  • Be fluent in written and spoken English
     

Our team partners with all parts of the organisation to find solutions to complex accounting issues, so we need a colleague with excellent people and communication skills.

 

About the team

You will be part of the External Reporting team, a dynamic team of 6 specialists within external financial reporting which is responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting to top management and external stakeholders.

 

The team is part of a larger department which is also responsible for the closing of consolidated financials, M&A Finance and integration, as well as the external ESG reporting.
