We are looking for a colleague with strong technical skills within IFRS and financial reporting processes to join Corporate Accounting at Novo Nordisk. You will be part of the team that drives our quarterly and annual financial reporting and contributes to the continued development of how we prepare and communicate our results.
The position is based in Corporate Accounting at Novo Nordisk Headquarters in Bagsværd, Denmark, with broad exposure to the global finance community.
Your New Role
Together with the team, you will:
- Act as advisor to provide accounting guidance on complex transactions and accounting issues, including preparing and documenting technical accounting assessments
- Take a key role in preparing and developing the annual report and quarterly company announcements of the Novo Nordisk Group
- Lead or support on optimising financial reporting processes through digitalisation and automation initiatives
- Contribute to preparing materials for the Audit Committee, CFO and external auditors
- Assessing the impact from new or amended IFRS accounting standards and taking part in updating the Novo Nordisk Accounting Manual
This role offers the opportunity to shape our reporting practices and work with complex accounting areas at group-level, and with exposure to a wide range of stakeholders.
Your New Department
You will be part of the External Reporting team, a team of 6 professionals responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting to top management and external stakeholders.
The team is part of Corporate Accounting which is also responsible for the closing of consolidated financial statements, SOX internal controls, the external ESG reporting and payroll processing for all Danish employees. With the broad scope of responsibilities in Corporate Accounting, this also provides the opportunity for cross-collaboration within the department, fostering a more integrated approach to our external reporting.
Your Skills & Qualifications
You hold a Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a similar field, with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
You should also possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Solid understanding of IFRS, either from auditing listed entities or from working with group reporting and consolidation, with the ability to analyse and apply accounting standards in practice
- Experience from a multinational environment, i.e. ‘Big4’ audit firms or from international companies reporting under IFRS.
- Ability to challenge and improve existing processes and rethink how we ensure continued high quality in our external reporting
- A strong sense of responsibility for tasks and projects, with a collaborative spirit and willingness to take the lead.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex accounting matters clearly
- Fluent in written and spoken English

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 742,600.00 to 1,091,600.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
