The position
As an Executive Assistant you will be part of the Strategy & Portfolio team supporting the Corporate Vice President (CVP) and the management team in driving the area’s cross-organizational activities in accordance with the strategic targets.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and editing documents, reports, and presentations with precision and attention to detail.
- Acting as a liaison between the R&ED Strategy & Portfolio Leadership Team and internal/external stakeholders.
- Driving business initiatives and actions across the CVP area on behalf of CVP
- Secure solid organizational understanding of business processes, systems, and industry requirements.
- Handling confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
- Preparing presentations on behalf of CVP for various internal and external activities.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position, you have:
- Master’s degree in economics, business, science or similar area and around 5 years of experience in pharma industry. R&D understanding is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in driving cross-organizational initiatives and business processes across geographical and cultural boundaries.
- Ability to manage high-level business complexity with conflicting interests.
- Excellent project management experience including strong communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to inspire and motivate people and teams.
- Ability to derive solid strategies and execution plans with high impact required.
As a person, you have strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills required to identify and drive projects and manage diverse stakeholders. You can work independently and are able to challenge and advise at executive management level. In addition, you are confident, proactive, result and solution oriented with a flexible mind-set and change management skills.
About the area
R&ED Strategy & Portfolio serves as an internal staff function collaborating across the R&ED and the Development organisation to develop, refine and facilitate the execution of strategies to meet the R&ED aspirations for Novo Nordisk.
The area is overall responsible for driving strategic initiatives across the R&ED organisation and collaborate across the Novo Nordisk value chain to arrive at well-founded recommendations that ultimately impact the future of Novo Nordisk.
The unit directly supports and reports to the top management in R&ED and consists of a mix of experienced profiles with scientific, business and consultancy background as well as a mix of nationalities. We are a tight-knit unit which is characterised by an informal atmosphere with emphasis on having a fun and engaging working environment. While we are deeply dedicated to our tasks, we maintain focus on preserving a healthy work-life balance.
