Do you want to help shape the environmental agenda in a global supply chain and turn sustainability ambition into tangible results? In this role, you will be part of the roll-out of high‑impact initiatives within the Sourcing and Procurement Team working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive meaningful change.
Your new role
As Environmental Project Manager, you will support the execution of key Environmental Agenda initiatives across the Supply Chain. You will play a central role in assessing, designing and executing a cross‑functional initiatives.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Engaging in a project focused on repurposing and optimising waste from operations. This is a hands‑on, stakeholder‑facing role where you will ensure that project deliverables, milestones and compliance requirements are met consistently.
- Supporting the roll‑out of a new environmental programme across multiple business units, focused on repurposing operational waste
- Contributing to strategic decision‑making while managing day‑to‑day operational activities to ensure a continuous flow of materials to recycling
- Supporting high levels of compliance and governance throughout the programme lifecycle
- Designing and driving a new framework for Environmental and Responsible Sourcing knowledge sharing and competency development within a newly established organisation and towards Procurement and sourcing functions across Novo Nordisk
- Establishing platforms and structures to enable knowledge sharing, competency mapping and access to training materials
You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers and industry partners, including opportunities to engage with the commercial side of external collaborations.

Your skills and qualifications
We expect you to bring:
- 3-5 years of relevant project management experience, supported by a strong and versatile project toolbox
- Experience from sustainability, procurement or supplier‑related projects (considered an advantage) including knowledge of warehouse, production or planning processes.
- Academic background in environmental topics/ issues related to supply chain and production, e.g. master’s degree in environmental management, sustainable management, study programmes with supply chain, enterprise risk, etc.
- A proactive mindset with a strong interest in driving and scaling complex initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate with a highly diverse group of internal and external partners
- Curiosity and a strong interest in understanding and developing new business and sustainability solutions

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 651,000 to 956,900 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short‑term and/or long‑term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
