Are you motivated by driving energy efficiency, governance and measurable CO₂ reductions in a complex organisation? In this role, you will take ownership of Corporate Facilities’ Energy Management System and play a key part in strengthening energy performance across Novo Nordisk’s office operations in Denmark.
Your new role
As Energy Management Responsible, you will act as the formal system owner of Corporate Facilities’ Energy Management System (EnMS) and ISO 50001 framework. You will have end‑to‑end responsible for governance, compliance and continuous improvement of energy management practices, ensuring certification integrity and strong organisational alignment.
You will work closely with operations, maintenance teams, project managers, procurement and external suppliers to embed energy efficiency requirements into daily operations and projects. Acting as a trusted subject‑matter expert and advisor, you will support management decision‑making through data‑driven insights and structured governance processes.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Owning and maintaining the Energy Management System (EnMS) and ISO 50001 compliance across Corporate Facilities, including audits, certification lifecycle and non‑conformity management
- Driving governance, interpretation and application of ISO 50001 requirements across operations and projects
- Identifying, prioritising and supporting execution of energy‑saving initiatives through energy reviews, performance evaluations and consumption monitoring
- Ensuring robust data foundations, measurement, reporting and verification of energy consumption, KPIs and realised energy savings
- Providing clear decision support to management through analysis, reporting and business‑case development
Your new department
Corporate Facilities ensures well-functioning corporate infrastructure, and a safe and engaging workplace for more than 30,000+ colleagues across our Danish sites. We create tangible business results by partnering with all areas of the business and what we do impacts all Novo Nordisk’s employees on their workday.
The team consists of 11 colleagues responsible for driving services in our office buildings, managing canteens and P&P services across Denmark. The team delivers through contracts with external suppliers, and we work closely to ensure cohesion in our delivery across sites. Our office portfolio currently it consists of ~300,000 square meters primarily in across greater Copenhagen.
Your skills and qualifications
You do not need to be an expert, but you have either experience with energy management, preferably ISO 50001 or a relevant educational background, for example within energy, engineering, data, environmental studies, or a related field. We expect you to bring:
- A relevant technical education within engineering, energy, data, environmental studies or a related field
- 3–5 years of relevant experience working with ISO 50001 or energy management in a larger organisation, preferably within facilities or service‑based environments
- Experience with energy analyses, energy management systems, remotely read meters, SCADA/CTS/BMS or similar technologies
- A structured, governance‑minded and ownership‑driven approach, with strong analytical and data‑driven decision‑making skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate complex technical topics to diverse audiences
You are proactive, self‑driven and motivated by making a tangible difference, with the ability to balance governance requirements with practical, operational execution.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 651,000 to 956,900 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short‑term and/or long‑term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
