This is a temporary position, finishing on Summer 2026.

 

The position

You will join our proactive team, responsible for gathering, validating, analysing, and reporting energy data from Novo Nordisk sites in Denmark. Our core mission is to maintain stable energy operations, supporting production for our patients and guiding data-driven business decisions for future development.

 

As an Energy Controller, you will identify and establish accurate data while ensuring timely energy reporting. In this role, you will create energy reporting with 3 colleagues focused on accuracy, optimizations and foster synergies across our Danish sites. Additionally, you will play an important role in developing our reporting process to support a dynamic future, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies in Denmark.


Some of your responsibilities will be to:

  • Energy Reporting based on validated information and in a timely manner to ensure our compliance.
  • Data collect from various sources, including BMS, ECS, PME and Scada.
  • Collaborating with project managers and operations staff for decision-making and intelligent operations through reports, dynamic dashboards, or data models
  • Build and maintain data pipelines and integrations
  • A highly structured approach to maintaining and documenting products/business cases across platforms and projects – often in collaboration with external partners.
  • Contributing to strategic activities related to energy reporting and data.

 

Qualifications

  • You probably have a marine engineering, engineering or natural science background
  • Prior experience working with energy reporting in Denmark is a requirement
  • Strong IT skills and experience with energy software like ECS, PME, EnergyKey, EG Omega and similar
  • Experience with remote data collection specifically on communication technologies, hardware and software within a energy data field
  • Excellent insights into the energy sector in Denmark as a whole. Likewise in Danish regulations, standards and legislation focused on energy supply
  • You have knowledge and insight into BR28, CSRD, EPDB and EED

 

As a person you are eager to learn, supportive and works very structured/methodically. You are capable of diving into the details and communicating them to senior stakeholders. You believe in standard, scalable solutions and focus on the end user. You drive is what sets up apart, you are a self motivator and not afraid of deep water. Energy reporting is your guiding light and it comes natural to you – so does developing the process too.

 

About the Department 

Energy Data, Compliance & Concepts is anchored in Energy Solutions and work very closely with our sister teams who are running the utilities onsite across Denmark or developing projects to enable stable utility for our production sites. We are currently 11 people plus the manager. We are engaged in reporting, utility concept development, energy forecasting and supporting business decisions based on facts and energy data.
