ESG Auditor in Group Internal Audit

The position
As an ESG Auditor, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sustainability initiatives and strengthen our ESG processes and controls across Novo Nordisk. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing audits and advisory engagements with a focus on providing assurance over ESG disclosures, assist the process of ESG materiality and risk assessment and assess management systems, processes, and internal controls over ESG
- Continuously developing the internal audit agenda over ESG, as this is an evolving focus area within Group Internal Audit
- Supporting the development of digital and monitoring tools being used in internal ESG audits
- Possibility to participate in financial and business ethics audits
Qualifications
You hold a MSc or similar in Finance, Accounting or Auditing and are fully proficient in written and spoken English.
Other success criteria are:
- A minimum of 3+ years of auditing experience, including control testing; experience in ESG auditing is preferred
- A strong sense of independence and proactivity, with the ability to take the lead on audit assignments as needed
- Excellent analytical skills coupled with a proactive mindset
- Strong communication abilities, enabling you to engage confidently and professionally with stakeholders at all levels
- Key personal attributes include high energy, a good sense of humour, and the ability to remain focused under pressure
About the department
The position in Group Internal Audit (GIA) is based in Novo Nordisk HQ in Bagsvaerd, Denmark. GIA consists of 31 dedicated colleagues, of which 6 are within the Finance and ESG audit team. GIA represents nine different nationalities and is responsible for providing assurance to Senior Management and the Audit Committee within finance, business ethics, ESG and IT. Our team consists of various backgrounds, working in a dynamic, ambitious, and informal environment.
