Your new role
As Director, Talent & Succession, you will be the architect of our global talent strategy, ensuring we identify, develop, and retain the talent and capabilities needed to sustain Novo Nordisk's remarkable growth trajectory.
Your responsibilities will include:

Developing and executing a global talent and succession strategy that aligns with business objectives, continuously adapting to industry trends and evolving organisational needs

Leading comprehensive succession planning processes for positions within Executive Management, Senior Management, and other critical roles across Novo Nordisk

Designing and implementing innovative talent development programs that build critical capabilities across all organizational levels

Ensuring talent reviews that are fit for a consumer-driven market and build the right workforce for Novo Nordisk

Ensuring close and effective collaboration with key stakeholders – including EVP HR Business Partners, Global Leadership & Learning, Global Mobility, and Talent Acquisition

Utilizing advanced HR analytics and predictive modelling to forecast future talent needs, identify gaps, and drive data-informed decision-making
About the department
As the Director, Talent & Succession, you will lead a function of 5 employees. The Global Talent & Succession team is part of People, Leadership & Performance (Global CoE), which also includes Total Rewards, Global Leadership & Learning, NNWay, Culture & Facilitation, Global DEIB and Global Mobility. Serving as a strategic partner across multiple countries and Lines of Business, People, Leadership & Performance is placing people at the center of all our decisions, ensuring our leaders have the right capabilities, and creating the right conditions for strong performance – all anchored in the NNWay and a culture that fosters belonging
Global Talent and Succession provide strategic support to the whole organisation on talent and succession, helping the Novo Nordisk have the right talents, with the right capabilities, in the right positions, at the right time. The role is based at Bagsværd, Denmark.
Your skills & qualifications
We're seeking an exceptional leader who thrives in complexity and can navigate the intersection of strategy, analytics, and human potential. You'll bring with you:

10+ years of experience with a proven track record in leadership and strategic talent & succession management at a global level

Deep expertise in succession planning, talent development, and creating comprehensive talent pipelines at all levels, across diverse cultures and geographies

Advanced proficiency in HR analytics and data-driven decision-making, with the ability to use predictive analytics to forecast talent needs

Demonstrated success navigating senior stakeholder landscapes, including Executive Management, with exceptional communication and influence skills.
Furthermore, you have a solid understanding of diversity and inclusion principles as well as strategic leadership abilities with the capacity to drive impact with focused resources.
