Digital & Process Lead (Corporate Procurement)
Bagsværd, Capital Region of Denmark, DK
There has never been a better time to join Indirect Procurement at Novo Nordisk.
We are driving a global transformation of our Source-to-Pay landscape, where digitalization, automation and intelligent technologies are key enablers for creating simpler processes, better user experiences and more efficient operations.
Are you motivated by turning technology into scalable business solutions? Do you combine strong system understanding with the ability to work across business processes, technology teams and external vendors? Do you possess a comprehensive understanding of Source-to-Pay processes, system integrations, and tools like Coupa, Rossum and SAP? If so, this could be the right opportunity for you.
The position
As a Digital & Process Lead, you will play a key role in driving digital initiatives across our procurement processes, working with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities, implement solutions and ensure effective integration across Source-to-Pay (S2P) systems.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be to:
- Lead and execute digital transformation initiatives within Procurement, primarily across Procure-to-Pay processes, to improve efficiency, effectiveness and user experience.
- Drive structured problem-solving for complex business and technology challenges, considering the end-to-end operational impact of system and process changes.
- Develop a deep, hands-on understanding of S2P systems, processes and operational ways of working, and proactively identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement, simplification and automation.
- Promote global alignment of processes and system usage, ensuring effective integration across procurement systems such as Coupa and SAP and other relevant platforms.
- Drive and independently manage the implementation of technology solutions across the S2P landscape (e.g., Coupa, Rossum), and manage SAP and Coupa releases through impact assessment, testing, reconfiguration and quality assurance.
- Plan and execute complex digital projects independently, coordinating technical resources across internal functions and external partners and applying relevant external best practices.
Additionally, you will explore and apply AI and automation capabilities, such as Coupa/NAVI agents, RPAs and similar technologies, to drive value creation and process optimisation across the S2P value chain.
Qualifications
As our ideal candidate, you should meet the following qualifications:
- Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, business administration, finance, engineering, supply chain management, information technology or another relevant field.
- Bring 8+ years of relevant experience across Procurement, Finance, Source-to-Pay, technology or related areas, with a strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay processes and their supporting technology landscape.
- Have hands-on experience implementing and scaling enterprise technology solutions, including requirements, configuration, testing, releases and system integrations, as well as driving rollout and adoption across complex organisations through stakeholder engagement, change management and cross-functional coordination.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of digitalization, automation and process optimisation, with a proven ability to translate business needs into practical and scalable solutions.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives, influence stakeholders and build alignment across a global matrix organization.
- Communicate and present effectively, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with procurement and Source-to-Pay platforms such as Coupa and SAP, intelligent document processing solutions such as Rossum, or AI and automation technologies would be considered an advantage.
On a personal level, you are curious and motivated by understanding how systems and processes work in practice and finding better ways of working. You combine a hands-on and analytical mindset with the ability to see the broader business and operational context. You take ownership, work in a structured way and are comfortable navigating complexity and multiple priorities. You collaborate effectively across functions, cultures and organizational levels and can create momentum and influence others without formal authority.
