If so, join us as our new Development Scientist in Bagsværd on an 18-month temporary contract.
Your new role
You will play a key role in the manufacturing of chemical entities and the chemical modification of recombinant peptides and proteins. Supporting life cycle management activities at Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs), you will help secure the continuous market supply of our products and contribute scientific expertise across a wide range of projects.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Supporting process transfers, validations and optimisation projects at CMOs
- Engaging with cross-organisational groups to align on scientific and technical priorities
- Generating and updating technical documentation at the right scientific level
- Providing scientific input for change requests and deviations
- Contributing to authorship and review of regulatory documents
- Driving process optimisation initiatives in close collaboration with internal and external partners
Your new department
In Global Manufacturing & Supply (GMS), we cover the full value chain from drug and device development to marketed Novo Nordisk products. We are more than 30,000 colleagues across the globe with the shared responsibility of scaling molecules, processes, devices, and products, dedicated to supplying life-saving medicines to the patients who need them most.
Within GMS, we manufacture the pharmaceutical backbone of our many quality APIs. Our department is called Process Support and is anchored in MSAT. It consists of several teams responsible for the timely support of the processes that create our APIs. You will join a dynamic, well-functioning and cross-functional team of 13 scientists and 1 laboratory technician, who thrive on professional challenges and work with great individual responsibility and commitment. We collaborate with production, analytical departments, CMC, Regulatory Affairs, QA – and externally with CMOs Our officelocation is Bagsværd.
Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for a highly adaptable professional with analytical, innovative and collaborative skills, who excels both independently and within diverse teams. You bring sound judgement, decision-making ability and a drive to deliver practical solutions across multiple disciplines and external partnerships.
Essential qualifications:
- M.Sc. or PhD in synthetic organic chemistry
- Experience with organic synthesis; knowledge of chemical modification of peptides is an advantage
- Fluency in spoken and written English
It is advantageous – but not mandatory – to have:
- Experience in process chemistry, including scale-up and transfer of processes from pilot to facilities and between different sites
- A background in process characterisation and validation within the pharmaceutical industry
- Experience with cGMP and handling of deviations and change requests in pharmaceutical settings

- Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 570,200 to 838,100 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate's skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
- Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
