The Position

You will be responsible for our DeltaV systems and associated infrastructure, which supports the production in two of our Pilot factories in Bagsværd. You will be responsible for keeping the systems operational and in compliance with Novo Nordisk requirements and thereby requirements from health authorities. You will communicate and collaborate closely with many colleagues both internally in the department, but also in our Pilot factories.

 

Stable and efficient automation systems are essential for us, in order, to develop and deliver new products to our patients.   

In this position you will work both with practical, hands on, tasks such as:

 

  • System and Infrastructure Management (e.g., Databases, Network, Configuration, Performance monitoring)
  • Troubleshooting on the system and infrastructure, incl. virtual environment and network 
  • IT Security management (e.g., implementing system hotfixes, patches, and anti-malware)
  • Continuity management (e.g., Monitoring of backups, Recovery) 
  • Life Cycle Management (e.g., system upgrades, hardware upgrades)

 

You will update or develop system design documents (e.g., Functional Specification, Design Specification), Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and guidelines for the system operational processes. Furthermore, you will work with Incident and Deviation Management and Preparation of Change Requests. You will also perform annual user and Configuration Review.

 

We work with DeltaV technology and will provide you with training in this technology; therefore, prior experience with DeltaV is not required, though it will be an advantage.

 

Qualifications

You have a great passion for working with IT and system operation and a natural curiosity for new technologies and opportunities.

To succeed in the role, you have:

 

  • a B.Sc. or M.Sc. within e.g., IT, electronic engineering
  • Experience with IT System Management
  • Knowledge of DeltaV or equivalent automation systems
  • Knowledge of server and IT infrastructure operations e.g., patching, performance monitoring, network setup

 

Our work is performed according to GMP; hence it is expected that you possess a systematic approach to your tasks which you can plan and finalise. It is important that you ensure and initiate tasks even if they have not been assigned to you. Last but not least, we expect you to take responsibility for your own and the team's goals.

Due to your communication and collaboration abilities, you are a trusted and well-liked collaborator among our stakeholders. You have a high energy level and the ability to spread enthusiasm and positive energy to those around you.

 

About the Department

In the IT & Automation team we work with implementing large- and small-scale automation solutions, ensuring stable and efficient operation of our IT & automation systems, keeping the systems in compliance, and ensuring data availability in our 6 Pilot factories. The team currently consists of 19 highly competent automation and data engineers working across different automation and data technologies.
