About the Department
Our team operates within Novo Nordisk's global P&O, where we are responsible for ensuring the protection and proper management of employees' and job candidates' personal data in the global P&O processes as well as P&O IT-systems. Our work demands a curious approach to understand our global P&O processes, allowing us to provide precise legal guidance.
We are a total of 5 full-time employees and 1 student assistant in our team. We highly regard each other as colleagues and collectively uphold the responsibility of nurturing a positive and inclusive team atmosphere. We exchange knowledge and expertise when working together on projects or engaging in collaborative discussions.
The position
In this role, you will be conducting data privacy risk assessments, negotiating data processing agreements, Transfer Impact Assessments, and Standard Contractual Clauses, in addition to working with Novo Nordisk’ Binding Corporate Rules as well as offering ad-hoc GDPR guidance to other parts of the organisation.
Other key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating closely with P&O stakeholders to review processes and P&O IT-systems to facilitate the implementation of necessary data privacy requirements
- Oversee data privacy considerations in M&A activities in relation to ensuring compliance, conducting risk assessments, and managing the seamless integration of data privacy standards.
- Managing P&O data breaches, inclusive of reporting, assessing risk levels, and implementing preventive actions.
- Contributing to the enhancement of data privacy awareness in the P&O organization through initiatives such as training sessions.
- Engaging with other data privacy experts within Novo Nordisk globally in affiliates and headquarter on data privacy projects and initiatives
Qualifications
To excel in this role, the ideal person will possess a master's degree in law or an equivalent university degree, coupled with a minimum of 4-6 years of post-graduate legal experience working with GDPR across all aspects from a legal standpoint. Experience with other global data privacy legislation and/or practices is likely beneficial.
Other experiences you will bring are as follows:
- An excellent track record in vendor assessments, contract negotiations, and in drafting and reviewing data processing amendments in complex vendor contracts including M&A´s.
- Have experience in implementing the best data privacy standards within operational processes and IT-systems. Previous experience working with global processes and collaborating with global stakeholders is an advantage.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey complex legal points to stakeholders with varying degrees of experience with legal matters.
- Possess professional proficiency in English, both verbal and written, as our corporate language is English.

Additionally, you should excel in cultivating lasting relationships with local business stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and influencer to effectively collaborate and drive mutual success.
