The position
As a Data Engineer in Corporate Procurement, you will work in close collaboration with experienced project managers, system experts, analytics partners and Procurement professionals across our global organisation to drive value creation by leveraging advanced analytics.
You will be part of the Advanced Analytics team consisting of strong and experienced analysts, data partners, and data engineers where you will be responsible for:
- Creating and maintaining high-quality automated data pipeline architecture in Azure and Alteryx, incl. building SQL-based data processing and transformation logic
- Driving continuous improvements in our ETL process to further improve data quality and availability
- Orchestrating data integration workflows and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of data for an ongoing system integration project
- Developing, deploying, and optimising data-driven applications in other platforms (e.g. Python and Power Platform) to drive efficiency gains in strategic projects
Qualifications
As our ideal candidate, you are expected to:
- Have completed a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Finance, Economics, Engineering or similar with excellent results
- Have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields, preferably involving unstructured big data collection and modelling using various data sources
- Navigate within a complex stakeholder landscape
- Have hands-on experience with ETL tools like Alteryx, Azure and SQL (while experience with other tools such as Python and Power Platform is a plus)
- Experience with NoSQL databases is considered a plus
As a person, you are structured in your problem-solving approach, detail-oriented while being able to maintain a holistic perspective, curious, think out of the box and willing to explore multiple unconventional approaches. About the department
Corporate Procurement is the Centre of Excellence for procurement in Novo Nordisk. We are responsible for the global procurement strategy, processes, and systems. We negotiate contracts covering more than DKK 65 billion of Novo Nordisk’s spend. Global Procurement has 500 employees around the world with the largest hubs in Denmark, India and the US.
A key enabler for taking Procurement to the next level will be to leverage holistic insights to drive value in and from procurement. The Advanced Analytics team is responsible for driving this journey.
