About the Department
You will become part of the “M&A and Change Management”-unit in the SVP area “P&O Business Partnering” located in Headquarters in Bagsværd, Denmark. We are a dedicated team of 5+ people who values an informal, pragmatic and social working atmosphere with a direct communication style. The team is responsible for driving Culture and Change initiatives and HR-related Integration activities globally for Novo Nordisk acquisitions. We are part of a larger department that drives strategic workforce planning and activities that support the organisational development of Novo Nordisk on an enterprise level.
This role reports to the Director of M&A and Change Management, Michael Bell Poulsen.
The position
The Culture and Change Lead will drive integration activities globally across all Novo Nordisk functions, including timely planning and execution of initiatives that creates value for the employees in the acquired company and promotes a positive integration experience. You will be relied upon to:
- Develop concepts, materials and facilitate national culture awareness sessions both internally in Novo Nordisk as well as across Novo Nordisk and Acquired Company
- Inform change initiatives and a successful Day 1 based on organisational culture assessments as well as continued mapping of change impact data points
- Define and lead Change & Culture initiatives to ensure successful transition into Novo Nordisk way of working and to support the Novo Nordisk strategy
- Drive Change & Culture integration effort in collaboration with unit P&O Business Partners, Integration Management Office and across functions involved in the integration
- Co-create and maintain guiding principles, process documents, project plans, templates and checklists used during the M&A process
Projects can be within Research & Development and Product Manufacturing and the ability to quickly learn and bridge the culture between innovative biotech’s or process-heavy manufacturing environments and Novo Nordisk corporate culture is an integral part of the job.
Travelling will be required between 10 to 30 days per year and working across time zones during projects, depending on where the acquisition takes place.
Qualifications
To succeed in this position, the ideal person will possess a relevant degree in Business, HR, Psychology or similar. Other skills and experiences you will bring are:
- 3-5 years of experience from consulting or from a change management role in a large international company
- A good track record showing the ability to drive complex, strategic or transformational projects with high involvement of senior management - and the change management toolbox to support
- Business acumen with a keen understanding of data-driven decision-making and how to successfully communicate complex topics in a simple way
- A flair for understanding what tactically drives progression towards strategic objectives for organisation and people
- Experience from M&A either on buy or sell-side or large transformational projects as well as experience from Pharma are clear advantages but not pre-requisites
