The position
Novo Nordisk has an enormous investment project portfolio, for which a significant part is for construction of new facilities, many of which are in Denmark. In this role, your key task will be to support a smooth and integrated civil and construction compliance process for these projects, ensuring a solid, timely and high-quality process to get relevant permits in place in line with external regulations and internal Novo Nordisk requirements and deadlines. Your main tasks will be to:
•    Lead and drive proactive long-term planning for Novo Nordisk sites. This includes driving the development of new and updated spatial planning e.g. district plans and ensuring that all relevant elements are included and can accommodate expansion opportunities in line with external requirements. 
•    Act as a single point of contact to Danish municipal planning, civil and construction authorities and to fire and emergency authorities (together with the Property Risk Manager) for all related construction compliance matters.
•    Work closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure effective support to investment projects for planning and site development in line with existing and emerging civil and construction regulation issues and our growing focus on sustainable constructions. 
•    Ensure an effective license and permit planning, application, and documentation process in line with civil construction legislation.
•    Support the development of Novo Nordisk production site master plans and support real estate management on authority issues. Securing hearing response to municipal plans in line with relevant inputs and feedback from key internal and external stakeholders.
•    Support with related tasks e.g., establishing addresses for new facilities and ensure BBR data maintenance.
•    Act as subject matter expert for civil and construction compliance.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have: 
•    + 5 years’ experience with strategic urban development, large scale site planning or cross disciplinary coordination between large construction projects in a complex stakeholder landscape, is a requirement.
•    Experience in working in a Danish context and with Danish planning and construction legislation.
•    Excellent organisational skills, a structured approach to tasks and excellent stakeholder management 
•    Great coordination skills with the ability to make progress whilst not forgetting important detail
•    Deep knowledge to BR18 and related construction regulations.
•    Experience with public administration preferably within building or spatial planning regulation.
•    A ‘can-do attitude’, even when the focus is on delivery and there is a lot to do
•    A M/B.Sc. in Engineering or similar and supplementary training in relevant areas such as project execution, management, and/ or business administration 
•    Excellent communication skills in Danish and English, both written and verbally

 

About the department
This role is anchored in the Environmental Compliance & Expansion Support team, responsible for maintaining Novo Nordisk’s licence to operate via compliance with external requirements and support for our production expansion projects globally. We are part of PSQIT Strategy and Sustainability Department), located in Bagsværd at our HQ offices, a part of Product Supply Quality and IT (PSQIT) which is a modern technology organisation that practically drives the purpose of Novo Nordisk and delivers the highest quality to patients in an efficient and sustainable way.
