About the department
As part of the Novo Nordisk PSQIT organisation, Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) Development & Scaling makes a real difference for patients with chronic diseases across the world. We develop, manufacture, and distribute drug candidates for clinical trials and have a strong culture with a “can do” mindset.
The job is placed in CMC API Development located in Bagsværd. Our main responsibility is to develop manufacturing processes for new proteins and peptides in close collaboration with the research and manufacturing units (clinical and market). You will be part of the late stage-team at Chemical Development, dedicated to model-based process design in close collaboration with early phase teams and manufacturing sites.
In Chemical Development, we are responsible for developing the synthetic processes required to produce the active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for new and innovative product portfolio. These processes encompass chemical modification of recombinantly-produced proteins, as well as chemical synthesis of peptides and small molecules. The department is involved in early non-clinical projects up to Phase 3 GMP-manufacturing, process validation and transfer to commercial production. The aim is to develop robust, technically feasible and economical processes, whilst minimizing the environmental impact.
