The position
As a Category Manager, you will work closely with different Category Leads to help ensure effective and robust category management for our global warehousing solutions, supporting both short-term and long-term objectives.
You will be based in Denmark and work closely with line of business on the agreements and tenders for our global external warehouses.
Your main activities encompass:
- Supporting supplier and stakeholder engagement to help maintain reliable supply and service continuity
- Assisting in defining the scope of work for current and new warehousing needs in partnership with internal teams
- Helping manage key category tasks like contract administration, supplier coordination, and risks assessments, ensuring timely compliance with company guidelines
- Contributing o supplier relationship management, budget tracking, and risk reduction efforts, including participation in contract and pricing discussions
- Collaborating with project teams exploring new processes, technologies, and sourcing methods to support innovation in our operations
The current office location is Bagsværd; however, the department will be relocating to Taastrup in February 2025.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we imagine you:
- Hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, strategic management, or a related field
- Demonstrate practical experience in strategic sourcing, strategy development, category management, procurement or supply chain, within a complex organisation
- Showcase strong communication and stakeholder management skills, effectively building solid relationships internally and externally, with suppliers
- Have a strong understanding of warehousing and Pharma logistics, along with a keen interest in working on international projects
- Display proficiency in both spoken and written English

About the department
Strategic Sourcing Inbound Materials and Services is one of the central sourcing units in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division, responsible for short- medium- and long-term strategic sourcing activities, which involves global identification and strategic management of suppliers for Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production sites.
You will be part of a diverse department that ensures global supply of logistical solutions. Joining our team, you will be surrounded by several experienced international Category Managers, allowing you to continue your development within the sourcing domain.
