The position 

As a Category Manager in Corporate Procurement R&D, you will be leading and supporting sourcing and business development projects within Clinical service categories. You will work closely with key stakeholders with development and implementation of sourcing/category strategies for Clinical service categories and conduct relevant change management activities to ensure that your results are anchored in the organisation.

You will work closely together with your colleagues in the R&D procurement team and key stakeholders on identifying cost out opportunities in our global organisation as well as drive  procurement best practice , category management  and negotiations. Furthermore, you will be exposed to different organisational areas throughout R&D and beyond, and the job offers frequent interactions as well as presentations to senior management. You will work in a high pace environment and be part of a dynamic and highly collaborative team.


The position is based in Bagsværd, Denmark



The right candidate is looking for the next step in their career within procurement and is motivated by developing and driving new high potential sourcing projects.  

We expect you to have completed a Master's Degree in, business administration, finance, supply chain management or similar. You have experience working with Clinical service categories, procurement project management and strategic sourcing from the pharma industry. 

You are self-driven and can create results by motivating costumers, colleagues and project teams. You have great stakeholder management skills and can drive change management in a diverse customer landscape using your leadership skills to influence and impact key stakeholders. You are analytically strong and have an international mind-set, probably from working in a global organisation. 

We expect you to be curious and have an interest in understanding the value chain in a large organisation. Finally, you have excellent communication and presentation skills and you are used to having senior and top management as your key stakeholders.


About the department 

Corporate Procurement is responsible for the indirect spend in Novo Nordisk and for defining and driving the global procurement strategy. Corporate Procurement consists of 140 employees based in Denmark and India, and globally 400 people work in procurement.
