Your new role

As Associate Project Director within Corporate Strategy, you will drive the delivery of high-priority, cross-functional initiatives mandated by the CEO, Executive Management, and the Board. You will provide program governance, disciplined execution, and change leadership—ensuring decisions are timely, risks are visible and managed, and value is realized.

The role requires partnering closely with senior leaders and initiative owners to translate strategic priorities into executable roadmaps, ensure progress tracking towards CEO level and risk management, and sustain the rhythm of transformation through effective forums, communication, and decision‑making.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Orchestrate the annual corporate strategy review cycle and ensure clear initiative charters, outcomes, and ownership
• Drive enterprise value realization by translating strategic priorities into integrated, executable roadmaps with milestones, critical path, and interdependencies
• Maintain an integrated transformation roadmap, interdependency view, and value realisation plan
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on transformation progress, risks, and options, supported by robust data and insights
• Drive change management by fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement in how strategic initiatives are delivered
• Develop compelling communication and storytelling assets (narratives, townhall materials, dashboards) tailored to executive and broader audiences
• Maintain outstanding internal collaboration and communication to ensure strategic alignment and strategy execution across stakeholders’ seniority and functions

Your new department 

Corporate Strategy is part of the CEO office at Novo Nordisk. The Corporate Strategy team is responsible for the development of Novo Nordisk’s corporate strategy and managing a portfolio of high priority strategic initiatives sponsored by the CEO, the CFO and executive management team. You will join a dedicated and energetic team of colleagues that have a high level of responsibility, exposure and focus from top management, located in Bagsværd, Denmark.

Your skills and qualifications 

To be a competitive candidate, you should have:

• MSc and/or PhD within business, economics, life sciences, engineering or similar, preferably combined with an MBA degree
• Minimum 5-7 years industry relevant experience with focus on strategic, business development and financial aspects is required
• 3-5 years previous experience within transformation management and PMO, or cross-functional strategy development and business analytics, either as Management Consultant and/or in a large multinational company, Pharma preferred
• Proven ability to work in highly cross-functional roles
• Proven ability to work closely with senior management teams, delivering decision material for Executive Management and the Board of Directors
• Experienced project manager of complex, multi-component projects with involvement across the organisation
• Exceptional communication skills—able to distil complex topics into clear, executive-ready materials
