The position
As an Associate Manager Raw Material Supply Management, you will play a key role in securing the availability of critical raw materials across Novo Nordisk’s global production sites. You’ll lead a high-performing team of 7 professionals in Raw Supply Management Excipients & Gels and be responsible for ensuring robust supply chain solutions that align with our strategic direction, compliance requirements, and business goals. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, managing, and developing a team of dedicated professionals to deliver on our strategic and operational objectives.
- Driving effective sourcing operations and timely quality delivery of raw materials globally, while fostering efficient supplier relationships.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining inspection readiness at all times.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement supply chain improvements and innovation.
- Acting as a strategic advisor and representative in category groups to integrate broader business goals into local practices.
Qualifications
We are looking for a robust and results-driven individual, ideally with leadership skills, a background in supply chain management, excellent people development skills and a passion for delivering results.
To succeed in this role, we imagine you have:
- An academic degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Engineering or a related field and preferably you come with 5 years of relevant experience.
- Solid knowledge of supply chain processes, including purchasing, planning, warehousing, and logistics.
- Proven skills or experience in leading teams and motivating professionals, ideally within a global and highly regulated environment. We are open to hear both from experienced and aspiring people managers.
- A strong quality mindset and ideally understanding of GMP, ISO standards, or similar relevant regulatory requirements.
- Interpersonal skills such as empathy to ensure your team’s well-being, persuasive communication, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders globally.
On a personal level, you are strategic and analytical, have good interpersonal skills, thrive on solving complex challenges, and are enthusiastic about driving innovation and continuous improvement.
About the department
You will be part of the Inbound Supply Management department within Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division. Our department oversees sourcing and supply management of raw materials for manufacturing sites worldwide, ensuring efficient operations in compliance with quality standards. Our success is built on strong collaboration across internal and external stakeholders globally.
