The position
You will join our proactive team, responsible for gathering, validating, analysing, and reporting energy data from Novo Nordisk sites in Denmark. Our core mission is to maintain stable energy operations, supporting production for our patients and guiding data-driven business decisions for future development.
As an Associate Energy Analyst, you will identify and establish accurate data sources while ensuring timely energy reporting. In this role, you will create data-backed analyses to optimize operations and foster synergies across our Danish sites. Additionally, you will simulate and forecast energy scenarios to support future investment decisions, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies in Denmark.
Some of your responsibilities will be to:
- Energy Reporting based on validated information and in a timely manner to ensure our ESG reporting is compliant.
- Data collect from various sources, including energy production, transmission and consumption. Included is meter data, simulation data and data from energy models
- Supporting the communication of energy data with project managers and the business to ensure meaningful and smart solutions. This could be data reports, presentations or the use/setup of dynamic dashboards.
- A highly structured approach to maintaining and documenting products/business cases across platforms and projects – often in collaboration with external partners.
- Deliver models and data points – and reporting – to management and project leads.
Qualifications
- Is a requirement to have a degree in engineering, focused on energy, reporting or data
- Some prior experience working with energy reporting or models from a previous position will be an advantage.
- Good insights into the energy sector in Denmark as a whole and view new technologies as a solution to current problems.
- Experience in data analysis and energy models, ideally using Python, and preferably have worked with and are an experienced user of EnergyPro, Termis or Aquis and also PowerBi.
As a person you are interested in learning, can support those around you and work in a highly structured manner with your team members. You believe in standard, scalable solutions and are an advocate for them. You are naturally focused on the end user and capable of reaching our targets through your own drive. You are capable of understanding and deep diving into models but also communicating them to those - with less technical insights than you. Energy reporting comes natural to you – and also developing the process.
About the Department
Energy Data & Compliance is anchored in Energy Solutions and work very closely with our sister teams who are running the utilities onsite across Denmark, developing concepts to ensure stable utility for our production sites. We are currently 9 people including the manager. We are engaged in reporting, forecasting and supporting business decisions based on facts and energy data.
