Associate Director, Leadership Development

If yes, you may become our new Associate Director, Leadership Development.

 

The successful candidate will be a senior-level member of the Global Leadership Development Team to design scalable, impactful solutions that align with our Novo Nordisk purpose, strategy, and values (Novo Nordisk Way). Solutions will be anchored in our Global P&O strategy to become a sustainable employer, of which building senior leadership capabilities is a critical part.


The position
In this role, you will be the architect of innovative, scalable, and sustainable learning solutions in leadership and talent development to support the effectiveness of our senior leaders across the global enterprise. You will be the person to define and set learning strategy aligned to outcomes for our senior-most population of leaders. To do this, you will partner with key stakeholders in the People Development Centre of Excellence (CoE) and across global P&O to analyse development opportunities for our senior leaders. You will ensure the solutions you design are aligned to our purpose and strategy and based on the latest research, taking an evidence-based and learner-centric approach to developing initiatives. You will partner with an internal operational excellence team and external providers on deployment, execution, and effectiveness of solutions through ongoing quality assessments of learning experiences and various measurements of impact. 

 

While you may do some facilitation, you will primarily liaise and manage relationships with a network of internal and external partners providing content and solutions. You will apply your deep subject matter expertise and experience in facilitation to coach internal and external facilitators who deliver leadership programmes in a variety of modalities with our most senior leaders.

 

To support this role, your experience should reflect but be not limited to the following:
•    12+ years’ experience in Leadership Development and/or Organizational Development
•    Successful track record architecting and managing end-to-end global senior leadership programmes, including needs analysis, instructional design, deployment, evaluation, and continuous innovation
•    Highly skilled facilitator who can work across multiple modalities with a senior group of leaders
•    Experience working in a global, matrixed organization strongly preferred 
•    Project management experience a plus
•    Coaching experience is highly desirable

 

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you need to be educated to a bachelor’s or master’s level or equivalent in relevant field e.g. HR, Business, Education and prove to have outstanding communication skills – written and oral with presentation and storytelling. This role is tailored for a collaborative, people-centric team player who values partnerships with stakeholders and learning experience for our senior leaders as a critical path to success. 

 

To fulfil the position fully you should present through your personality the following skills:

•    Organisational agility to influence at various levels across a matrixed global organization
•    Relationship management skills to partner with a variety of vendors and internal stakeholders
•    Ability to prioritise and handle multiple projects that have high visibility at senior levels
•    Executive presence and comfort with senior leaders

 

About the department

The People Development Centre of Excellence (CoE) works in partnership with the global HRBP Community to develop a culture of life-long learning at Novo Nordisk. The CoE builds the strategy, initiatives, and digital and data enablers to develop the leadership and functional capabilities required for our people and business to be successful. The forty-three members of the CoE are located around the globe and have an enterprise and future focus. The Global Leadership Development team within the CoE works closely with our People Development Partners and our Operational Excellence teams within the department to ensure solutions are aligned with business needs and executed with excellence.
