Associate Data Partner 
We are looking for consultants with experience in large-scale digital transformations and data strategy to support the Global Data Office in driving the Global Data agenda across Novo Nordisk and be responsible for driving key initiatives to accelerate the operationalisation of the Data Strategy. 


The Associate Data Partner (ADP) will be allocated to one or more initiatives (epics) in the Data Office portfolio. The key responsibility of the ADP is to build strong relationships with the Lines of Business and continuously ensure business outcomes are realised through the implementation of foundational capabilities. 
It is expected the ADP will be operating independently with input and feedback when required from the Data Partner. 

The position

  •  Drive the global Novo Nordisk data agenda as Data Office by partnering with Lines of business to enable value generation of data across the organisation closely interlinked with our digital aspirations
  • Establish, manage and lead the cross-organisational governance structure for data governance linked to the global data governance organisation  
  • Provide regular reporting to Data Office, Line of Business senior leaders, Line of Business data domain owners and related data governance roles to support business outcomes.
  • Facilitate implementation of the Global Data Strategy vision & mission so that it is aligned and enables the Novo Nordisk business objectives
  • Manage the data governance to ensure appropriate levels of confidentiality, integrity, availability, safety, privacy and recovery of strategic data assets
  • Act as a strategic sparring partner for the Data Partner while maintaining a balance between business and technology
  • Drive global implementation and alignment with Data Partners and management of data governance services and supporting technologies e.g. data catalogue 
  • We are using SAFe and our selected implementation partners have been requested to work according to these principles and guidelines including e.g. using Azure DevOps to manage epics, features and user stories.



  • Preferably a background in consulting with experience in digital and data strategy
  • Experience and understanding of data as a strategic enabler in a large-scale digital transformation
  • The ability to quickly grasp new concepts and translate it into concrete business value and outcomes 
  • Prior experience with SAFe and working according to agile principles
  • Experience operating in a global environment 
  • Excellent communication skills (English)
  • Excellent Powerpoint and Excel skills
  • Experience in Pharma or other regulated industries 


About the department
The Global Data Office is a part of Global IT and was established in June 2020 with a Global Data Strategy setting the overall direction. The ambition is to provide a framework that allows the line-of-business to continuously generate even more value out of data based on supporting processes and technologies. The mission is to unlock the potential of our data across the value chain and improve and support business decisions to drive actionable insights and efficiency. 


The Global Data Office has identified six focus areas to achieve the Global Data Strategy targets and ambitions: Enterprise Master Data Management, Enterprise Data Catalog, Enterprise Data Quality, Enterprise Information Models, Data Governance and Data Culture & Literacy. The current organisation is based on a core team of Data Partners, Data Architects and a Programme Manager coordinating the implementation projects.


We have selected and implemented Informatica MDM Cloud, Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) and Ab Initio Metadata Hub (MHub) as the main technology platforms.
