Your new role
As Associate Compliance Counsel, you will support Novo Nordisk's global Ethics & Compliance (E&C) programme by providing guidance on compliance-related matters and contributing to key initiatives across the organisation. Working closely with colleagues and stakeholders, you will help promote ethical business practices and support the continuous development of our global E&C programme.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Supporting the implementation of global E&C processes and activities across Novo Nordisk, while providing day-to-day guidance on E&C-related topics

Contributing to the development, maintenance and advising on our Global Ethics & Compliance requirements, in alignment with established risk considerations

Helping identify and assess E&C risks and supporting projects and initiatives led by the Business Ethics Compliance Office (BECO)

Coordinating activities related to the Global Governance Fora, including onboarding new members, preparing meeting materials, organising quarterly meetings, documenting discussions and following up on agreed actions

Assisting in the development of guidance materials, tools and best practices, while supporting communication and collaboration with stakeholders across the organisation

Supporting the follow-up of findings from Group Internal Audit (GIA) audits Contributing to the delivery of E&C training and awareness activities across the global organisation

We are a team of 2,300 colleagues primarily based at our headquarters in Denmark and our Global Business Services centres in India and Mexico.
Within this area, the Business Ethics Compliance Office (BECO) sits at the heart of our global Ethics & Compliance programme You will join BECO as part of the Strategic Operations & Advice team, which has significant influence on how ethics and compliance is lived across our global organisation. The team ensures a robust global E&C programme through risk identification, governance, training and continuous monitoring – balancing local maturity and cultures with a consistent global standard. As our human rights expert, you will play a pivotal role in embedding respect for human rights into every element of that programme.
Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for an early-career professional who is interested in ethics and compliance and enjoys collaborating with stakeholders in an international environment. To succeed in this role, you likely bring:

An MSc degree in Law, Political Science, International Business or a related field

Recent graduation or up to 1–2 years of relevant experience within compliance, legal, risk management or a related area

An interest in Ethics & Compliance and a willingness to learn about compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry

The ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues across functions and geographies

A structured and proactive approach to work, with good analytical and problem-solving skills

An eagerness to take ownership of tasks, learn new topics and contribute to continuous improvements

Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly to different audiences

A collaborative mindset and an interest in working in a global organisation with diverse stakeholders

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 499,600.00 to 734,400.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.
As this position is designed for a recent graduate or early-career professional, the compensation package will reflect the level of experience and responsibilities associated with the role.
Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area, and relevant market benchmarks.
