This is an opportunity to shape Novo Nordisk’s category strategy for IT Managed Services at the intersection of business and technology — driving innovation, collaboration, and value creation across organisation. As Associate Category Lead, you will play a pivotal role in setting the strategic direction for the IT Managed Services category that power one of the world’s leading life science companies.

Your new role:

Based on your ability to drive business partnering and stakeholder management, you will be a key player in our future value delivery journey. You will report to the Director of Digital Solutions in Corporate Procurement and be part of a highly motivated team of 8 experienced and dedicated category and sourcing professionals all working to drive IT category excellence globally. The position is based in Novo Nordisk HQ in Denmark.

As Associate Category Lead for IT Managed Services at Novo Nordisk you will:

• Develop and implement category strategies towards global category excellence and in alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder needs

• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Act as preferred Procurement business partner for key category stakeholders across Novo Nordisk Global IT organisation and proactively fostering collaboration

• Drive cost optimization and value creation initiatives to deliver measurable outcomes

• Ensure implementation of the category strategy and actions in collaboration with sourcing managers and stakeholders

Your new department:
Corporate Procurement is Novo Nordisk’s centre of excellence for category strategies, supplier agreements, and purchasing processes.  The Corporate Procurement department builds strategies and executes improvement projects to optimize the global indirect spend of more than DKK 50 billion related to Facility Management, R&D activities, marketing services, travel, professional advisory services, and IT. Team size is app. 140 employees in Denmark and 2 indirect reporting teams of app. 150 employees in total in Global Business Services in India.

Your skills & qualifications:
We are seeking a dynamic professional who:

• Master's degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain Management, IT or related field

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in IT procurement or IT category management preferably from a global organization
• Knowledgeable on IT services outsourcing models like Helpdesk, application support, Cloud, IaaS etc.
• Proven ability in developing impactful IT categories and procurement strategies
• Strong analytical acumen and financial understanding of procurement decisions
• Proficiency in advanced data analytics and market intelligence
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to align procurement activities with strategic goals
• Strong communicator who understands how to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and build trustful relationships
