Your new role

As Global Commercial Competitive Intelligence Lead/Associate Director, you will play an active role in shaping the strategies for Novo Nordisk's projects and future commercial brands. You'll provide high-quality monitoring and insights generation related to the commercial competitive landscape and competitor strategies – elevating and challenging our approach to ensure we stay ahead.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering high-quality and data-driven insights regarding the commercial competitive landscape across Diabetes& and Obesity& therapy areas.
  • Driving strong competitive insights to enhance decision-making at project, product and portfolio level.
  • Leading assessments of key intelligence topics of strategic interest in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Acting as strategic partner to Commercial teams to ensure real-time insights are translated into competitive counter strategies.
  • Contributing to the development of the Commercial Competitive Intelligence function.
  • Fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment across the organization.

 

Your new department

In Product & Portfolio Strategy we drive commercial strategy, medical affairs and business development across all therapy areas. We act as a connector and compass, guiding the new Novo Nordisk portfolio for sustained competitiveness upstream, and maximising portfolio potential through successful commercial strategies and competitive launches downstream.

The Commercial Competitive Intelligence Team is responsible for monitoring, assessing and activating commercial  competitive intelligence within core strategic areas in Diabetes& and Obesity&. As part of the Strategic Insights& team, we work alongside Customer & Consumer Insights and Data, Analytics & AI Strategy teams. We engage with stakeholders across the value chain and drive insights to enhance decision-making at project and portfolio level.

 

 

Your skills & qualifications

To succeed in this role, we're looking for someone who thinks independently, proactively sets the agenda, and drives cross-functional collaboration to impact decision-making. You should feel comfortable in an expert role and excel at managing stakeholders across functions.

We welcome applications from candidates at different experience levels. Depending on your background, you'll bring:

  • M.Sc. in Business, Medicine or Life/Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry – this could range from 3-5 years for more junior candidates to 8+ years for senior-level applicants.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable intelligence.
  • Ability (or proven track record) to communicate scientific, medical, and commercial information to diverse audiences, including senior management.
  • Understanding of drug development as well as solid understanding of regulatory processes, commercial strategy and pharmaceutical value chains (depth of knowledge will vary with seniority).
  • Experience in social media monitoring is highly preferred, but not a requirement.

Compensation and benefits will be competitive and commensurate with your experience level.

  • Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 742,600 to 1,245,000 DKK corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
  • Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
