Then you might be the right candidate for a job as Analytical Specialist in our CCI & Physical Methods team. 

 

The position
We are currently looking for a skilled and experienced CCI & Physical Method Specialist that can set the direction for development and implementation of new technologies and methods for CCI from early phase to decommission. The job is placed in the CCI & Physical Methods team responsible for developing and validating new CCI & Physical Methods of our products in Novo Nordisk. The team consists of 2 PMs, 5 Scientists, 4 Validation chemists and 2 laboratory technicians. 

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Optimization of CCI & Physical methods in collaboration with QC. 
  • Lead and set the direction for the development and implementation of new products, and solve scientific and technical challenges during method optimization, development, validation, and implementation. 
  • Secure the right level of development for new methods.
  • Provide input to and execution of the overall CCI strategy as well as support of newly methods for all areas of Novo Nordisk working with CCI & Physical Methods including Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs).

 

The analytical methods are primarily Dye Ingress, Raman, Break Loose Glide Force (BLGF), Extractable Volume and Helium Leak Detection (HLD).  

 

Qualifications

  • A Master of Science degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical science or similar.
  • You have extensive experience in analytical chemistry, troubleshooting, optimization, development of analytical methods.
  • You have a good overview of the approval and regulatory process in connection with new products and can design a consistent analytical setup with the right development level.
  • Experience with CCI & Physical methods and validation is an advantage.
  • Around 5 years of relevant experience from the pharmaceutical industry.    
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of development and validation required of analytical methods for QC laboratories.
  • Creativity and see the opportunity in new ideas and good at implementing them.
  • A team-player attitude that motivates others around you and find it natural to establish new relationships across teams and departments.
  • You can work independently and have demonstrated in your previous positions, that you are capable of setting direction, possess impressive communication skills, are proactive and experienced in collaborating with managers and project managers.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.

 

About the department
Analytical Science & Methods is a department in Aseptic Manufacturing Science and Technology consisting of about 70 employees in 3 teams. We are the central function for analysis of Novo Nordisk products during development, as well as for marketed products. The department is responsible for the development, validation and implementation of analytical methods before clinical phase 3 and the subsequent transfer and ownership of the methods to our QC laboratories across the world. We also support our colleagues globally with analytical knowledge and scientific help as well as drive optimization through innovation.
