As a technician in our microbial technical (non-GMP) pilot facility, you'll be instrumental in running first-step chromatography recovery directly from our 200 L bioreactor tanks.

Working in a state-of-the-art facility that spans from 2 L development labs to large-scale 200 L technical stainless-steel bioreactors, filtration equipment, and chromatography systems, you'll play a key role in developing and operating recovery processes that advance our clinical pipeline.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and executing recovery campaigns for tox material and process development work
  • Operating and maintaining pilot-scale chromatography equipment and associated systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Performing sampling, buffer preparation, and experiment setup with precision and care
  • Contributing to the daily operation and continuous improvement of the facility
  • Documenting work in electronic systems according to quality standards
  • Collaborating closely with scientists and fellow technicians to drive experimental success
  • Potential member of on-call team for facility utilities in Bagsværd site

Your new department
In Global Manufacturing & Supply, we cover the full value chain from drug and device development to marketed Novo Nordisk products. We are more than 30,000 colleagues across the globe with the shared responsibility of scaling molecules, processes, devices, and products, dedicated to supplying life-saving medicines to the patients who need them most.

You'll join Upstream Development, part of CMC API Development, where we develop processes for all Novo Nordisk clinical projects and make a significant difference for patients with chronic diseases worldwide. Our department comprises more than 60 skilled and motivated colleagues across three teams.

Your team in our Bagsværd technical facility focuses on microbial processes and early recovery, where around 10 technicians work together in an environment characterized by high professionalism, collaboration, and a practical, hands-on approach to challenges.

Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for an experienced technician who thrives in a practical, operational environment and enjoys working with complex recovery and bioprocess equipment. You'll bring with you:

  • Technical education as a process technologist, technician, laboratory technician, or similar, with hands-on experience in recovery processes and chromatography.
  • Experience with peptide recovery from microbial production strains (e.g., yeast or E. coli) is preferred; pilot-scale chromatography experience is a strong advantage.
  • Fluency in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
  • Structured, responsible, and documentation-focused approach, with experience using electronic systems.
  • Proactive team player with strong collaboration skills and a genuine interest in practical, operations-focused work.
