The position
As our new Advanced Mechanical Engineer, your overall objective will be to conceptualize and develop mechanical concepts and solutions to enable current and future aseptic core production equipment including filling lines to live up to even higher standards.
Apart from that, you will be responsible for:
- Prototyping your designs for test in our Innovation Facilities
- Improving and verifying the design through test and simulations
- Leading test and implementation of your solution on the first global production site
- Collaboration with leading global suppliers of manufacturing technology
- Coordination of work packages in larger projects and managing your own projects, depending on your experience
Your tasks will be very varied and include idea generation, design of mechanical solutions, testing, and coordination. You can rely on your team and our mechanical and aseptic specialists to support you. The aseptic environment limits selection of materials and puts high requirements for external form suitable for cleanability, therefore we are focused on innovation.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have an analytical and innovative mindset with a strong interest in complex technical challenges. You should be passionate about innovation and developing new, creative and complex mechanical solutions. Furthermore, you are a team player, who is outgoing and eager to search for opportunities in partnerships with stakeholders. Additionally you have:
- An academic degree within Mechanical Engineering or another other relevant field.
- Experience with mechanical design and development ideally in machine or mechanism design.
- Experience with robust design and designing in metals.
- Experience within for example robotics, automation, design for aseptic processing and GMP is a great plus.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.

About the department
You will be a part of the Mechanical Innovation Team in Aseptic Manufacturing , Product Supply. Your working place will be Bagsværd (main office) and our test factory in Kalundborg (average once bi-weekly).
The team’s mission is to minimize or eliminate human interaction with our injectable products through optimization, robotics, and automation – across our different production sites around the world (Denmark, China, Brazil, France, and the US). You will collaborate with academics, technicians, and external development partners covering a wide range of disciplines and across different countries. We are a very international department with experience ranging from students to highly experienced subject matter experts. We guarantee that you will be exposed to exciting challenges and development opportunities. You will start with a comprehensive onboarding.
