Your new role
As Advanced Laboratory Technician in our Early Stage Protein Modifications team, you will play a critical role in developing and scaling robust chemical modification processes for recombinantly produced proteins. From non-clinical development through phase 2 clinical trials, your expertise will directly contribute to bringing innovative treatments to patients worldwide.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Independently planning, executing, documenting and concluding complex laboratory and pilot plant work tasks while ensuring project deadlines are met
- Developing scalable API processes and transferring knowledge from research to production, generating process documentation from pre-M1 to market launch
- Ensuring data integrity and maintaining the highest quality standards in all work processes (GXP/ISO compliance)
- Controlling and calibrating equipment according to responsibility distribution plans while contributing to maintenance of laboratory systems and SOPs
- Training and advising colleagues, sharing your expertise to strengthen team capabilities
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives through cLEAN activities and proactive participation in performance and planning board meetings
- Working in full compliance with QMS, EHS, and OHS standards to ensure safety and quality excellence
Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for an experienced laboratory professional who thrives on technical challenges and takes pride in quality excellence. You'll bring with you:
- Laboratory technician education with 4+ years of related experience in pharmaceutical or biotech laboratory environments
- High-level expertise within API process development, particularly with chemical modifications of proteins or related synthetic processes
- Thorough knowledge of GXP/ISO quality standards and experience ensuring compliance in daily laboratory operations
- Strong capability to independently handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines
- Excellent communication and cooperation skills that enable effective collaboration across teams and functions
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with proven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Agile and flexible approach to work, with strong accountability and independent working capabilities
Your new area
Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) Development's role in Novo Nordisk's value chain is to turn molecules into approved products in close cooperation with our colleagues in R&D and Global Manufacturing & Supply. We develop formulations and manufacturing processes based on state of the art technologies. In addition, the organisation creates the labelling for finished drug products and ships them to our clinical sites across the globe.
You will be joining the Early Stage Protein Modifications team within our Chemical Development department. We are responsible for developing the synthetic processes required to produce active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) for Novo Nordisk's innovative portfolio. Our team specifically develops, optimizes and scales up chemical modifications of recombinantly produced proteins, working collaboratively with internal colleagues and external partners to create robust, technically feasible and economical processes that advance from early development through clinical phases.

Salary and Benefits: The Annual Base Salary ranges from 499.200.00 to 734.400.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
A competitive benefits package is offered, including a pension scheme (currently 13% employer contribution and 5% employee contribution) in accordance with the applicable Collective Agreement for Salaried Employees (Indutriens Funktionæroverenskomst or “IFO”).
Benefits package also include a free choice account of currently 11% and 4% holiday allowance.
