Your new role
As a Bioreactor Technician in our microbial facility, you'll be instrumental in running experimental work on our 30L bioreactor platform. Working in a state-of-the-art facility that spans from 2L development labs to large-scale 30L steel bioreactors and filtration equipment, you'll play a key role in developing robust microbial processes that advance our clinical pipeline.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Planning and executing microbial cultivation experiments in 30L steel bioreactors
- Operating and maintaining bioreactors and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Performing sampling, media preparation, and experiment setup with precision and care
- Contributing to the daily operation and continuous improvement of the facility
- Documenting work in electronic systems according to quality standards
- Collaborating closely with scientists and fellow technicians to drive experimental success
Your new department
In Global Manufacturing & Supply, we cover the full value chain from drug and device development to marketed Novo Nordisk products. We are more than 30,000 colleagues across the globe with the shared responsibility of scaling molecules, processes, devices, and products, dedicated to supplying life-saving medicines to the patients who need them most.
You'll join Upstream Development, part of CMC API Development, where we develop processes for all Novo Nordisk clinical projects and make a significant difference for patients with chronic diseases worldwide. Our department comprises more than 60 skilled and motivated colleagues across three teams. Your team in our new Bagsværd facility focuses on microbial process development, where around 20 colleagues—split between laboratory technicians, technicians, and scientists—work together in an environment characterized by high professionalism, collaboration, and a practical, hands-on approach to challenges.
Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for an experienced technician who thrives in a practical, operational environment and enjoys working with complex bioprocess equipment. You'll bring with you:
- Education as a process technologist, technician, laboratory technician, or similar technical background
- Hands-on experience with cell cultivation in bioreactors
- Preferably experience working with yeast, E. coli, or other microbial production strains
- Experience with larger steel tanks or similar process equipment is a significant advantage
- Fluency in both Danish and English, written and spoken
- Structured and responsible work approach with strong documentation skills in electronic systems
- Initiative-taking mindset with the ability to contribute positively to team dynamics
- Strong collaboration skills and comfort working across different professional groups
- Genuine interest in practical, operation-focused tasks
