Your new role

As (Associate) Finance Partner for Insights in R&D Finance, you will be at the intersection of financial strategy and pharmaceutical innovation, driving decision-making with insights and translating our investment strategy into long-term financial forecasts for our portfolio.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging with a large variety of stakeholders across the value chain to discuss and assess the financial impact of therapy area strategies, progression of pipeline assets and ramping up new technology platforms
  • Setting the productivity ambition for the R&D organizations by working closely with senior stakeholders and strategy teams
  • Owning and working with our Business Intelligence systems and data models which track if we execute on our investment strategy
  • Driving financial decision-making that directly influences which therapies reach patients worldwide
  • Working closely with Finance Partners across the broader R&D organization as part of a dynamic, collaborative team
  • Taking ownership of high-impact projects that shape how we invest in breakthrough treatments

 

Your new department

R&D Finance is part of R&D Performance, Finance and Governance and is responsible for the financial management of the R&D organisation and projects in the R&D pipeline. In R&D Finance you will be part of a young and ambitious team consisting of three teams with employees in Denmark and US, supported by colleagues from Global Business Services in India.

To do this, we collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation. Your skills & qualifications

The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree within Business, Economics, Finance or Life Science, and you are about to start your career or have up to 3 years of relevant experience. In addition to that, you:

  • Have a passion for financial decision-making and bring a solid problem-solving toolbox
  • Are creative in your thinking and analytical in your approach so you can connect the dots and turn data into insights that matter
  • Possess strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build lasting relationships across diverse teams
  • Have a track record of driving projects independently with ownership and accountability
  • Bring expert-level proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrate an eagerness to further improve your financial skillset and grow within a global healthcare company
  • Have an interest in the pharmaceutical industry and/or pharmaceutical drug development
