Your new role
As a Medical Representative for our Diabetes, Obesity and Rare Disease portfolio, you'll be the vital connection between Novo Nordisk's life-changing therapies and the healthcare professionals who prescribe them. Based in Baghdad and reporting to the District Sales Manager, you'll combine strategic thinking with relationship-building to expand access to treatment for patients across your territory.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Promoting and selling our Diabetes, Obesity and Rare Disease products to healthcare providers, ensuring they have the information and resources needed to make informed treatment decisions.
- Building and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with healthcare professionals and key decision-makers in your territory.
- Developing and executing strategic territory plans that achieve sales targets and drive sustainable business growth.
- Staying current with the latest developments in diabetes, obesity and rare disease fields, and providing feedback to internal teams to support product improvement and innovation.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and initiatives.
- Managing your territory effectively, including regular travel to meet with healthcare professionals across Baghdad.

Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for a driven Medical Representative who thrives in building relationships and achieving results. To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical sciences and active registration with the Iraqi pharmacist's syndicate (mandatory requirement).
- 1-2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry as a Sales Representative.
- Strong knowledge of the diabetes and obesity market, including key competitors and industry trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with healthcare professionals.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and manage your territory effectively with strong self-motivation.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory, both domestically and abroad.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English.
