In Clayton, NC, we now operate two adjacent pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains.  
Our Clayton, NC Diabetes Finished Products (DFP) facility is a 457,000 square foot aseptic "fill and finish" site that is responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. Position Purpose

Coach, support, and develop technical competencies on shift needed to support successful execution of processes.



  • Acts as a maintenance advocate, coordinating daily schedule, removing barriers and enabling maintenance to run optimally
  • Serves as coach and technical mentor for work cell leaders, maintenance technicians and process teams
  • Execute process confirmation of maintenance standards used on shift and work with process team to find ideas to proactively improve quality and compliance
  • Coach maintenance Event Response process
    • Visualize/track events and actions
    • Confirm S&EP technicians and Operators understand and follow process
    • Check that solutions are verified to work and shared across shifts
  • Manage development plan for S&EP technicians on shift
  • Execute on shift maintenance plan, review and close work orders
  • Ensure maintenance work is properly documented in SAP and log books
  • Implements process improvements
  • Observes and enforces all safety and environmental requirements
  • Performs other duties as required


Desired Qualifications

  • BS/BA in technical field or industry equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 year maintenance leadership experience in manufacturing or equivalent industry / military experience
  • Knowledgeable in the following high-speed, automated systems: Filling, Formulation, Inspection, Assembly and Packaging
  • Experience driving process improvements/design using systematic methodologies; Lean and Six Sigma strongly preferred
  • Proven expertise in mentoring/development, change management, planning/organizing, managing execution, and revising the work plan for complex problems solved by cross functional teams


Physical & Other Requirements

  • Ability to work 12 hour shifts or longer, day or night
  • Ability to attain clean room gowning certification and work with hazardous materials including sanitants. (Aseptic Production)
  • Ability to work hours necessary to support shift production
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Ability to achieve core gown certification (Aseptic Production)
