You will report to the Medical Science Liaison Manager, and be part of an experienced and diverse Clinical, Medical and Regulatory team, with an excellent opportunity to develop and refine your skills as a Medical Science Liaison, especially from MSL colleagues in the team.
The Position
As a key member of the Medical Team, the Senior Medical Science Liaison is responsible for actively interfacing with multiple external and internal stakeholders to ensure the implementation of the local strategy. You will be responsible to build and maintain relationships with Key Thought Leaders through discussions on Novo Nordisk marketed medicines, future pipeline assets and chronic disease management.
In this role, you will:
- Build and develop face-to-face and virtual relationships with external experts & healthcare professionals in obesity, diabetes and chronic disease management and participate in robust and transparent scientific dialogue.
- Respond to requests for scientific and medical information in a comprehensive, timely and customer-focused manner.
- Facilitate face-to-face and virtual presentations to nurses, Specialists, and formulary committees.
- Provide medical input and expertise in the development of medical-marketing strategies, evidence-based medical education, and promotional campaigns.
- Expand your knowledge in cardiovascular and endocrine pharmacology, drug development, real-world evidence generation, health outcomes, and patient safety.
Qualifications
- The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Pharmaceutical or life sciences.
- At least 2 years+ of demonstrated and achieved MSL experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Excellent scientific communication skills and confidence in presenting to diverse groups.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Must either be a New Zealand Citizen or have a current residency Visa to live and work in New Zealand.
