The Position

As a Senior project manager (drug product) at Novo Nordisk, you will:

Be a member of the Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Control (CMC) Project Core Team, where you will be responsible for planning and coordinating drug product development activities, within your expertise area, and ensuring deliverables according to the project plans within Novo Nordisk and where relevant with CDMOs/CMOs. You will also collaborate with our development project managers in Denmark, as we develop our development pipeline as an integrated, global, development team.

As Senior project manager (drug product), you will be responsible for:

  • Management of cross functional drug product activities within Oral Product Development project teams
  • Ensuring the development and manufacturing of drug products in clinical development phases
  • Together, with specialists, defining a clear drug product development strategy
  • Driving the project through the different development stages and collaborating with CMC project core members as well as other areas of the Research & Development organization
  • Leading sub-project teams in an engaging and motivating way 
  • Communicating and coordinating with stakeholders within and outside of CMC


Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate the following qualifications:

Need to have:

  • Education - Scientific education at Master level within a relevant field of expertise
  • Have several years’ experience and gained in-depth knowledge of working within Research & Development, drug product development, or Quality Assurance in a pharmaceutical setting
  • Have extensive project management experience and qualifications, particularly in mid- to high-complexity projects
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Good collaboration skills, but also ability to work independently 
  • Good mediator, who can tackle challenging situations and mitigate risks

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with process development and manufacturing methods
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement process improvements
  • Knowledge of tools such as Excel, Smart Sheets, Project Planner, Viso and other planning tools
