The Position

Novo Nordisk is seeking an IT Project Manager with a strong background in delivering mission critical projects in a regulated environment.

This role will lead and manage IT projects and work closely with internal stakeholders and external third-party service providers to establish project plans which consider critical tasks, durations, dependencies and successfully implement new applications, enhancements, and services.

The Project Manager is expected to be autonomous in management of meetings, solicitation of agendas, distribution of meeting minutes, tracking completion of action items and regular updates on project status.

As a Project Manager at Novo Nordisk, you will:

  • Effectively manage a range of projects using project management best practices and following required Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) policies.
  • Responsible for project initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure.
  • Responsible for business analysis: gather requirements using interviews and workshops, document current and to-be models, create use cases and test scenarios.
  • Management of issues, risks and organizational change management to ensure successful and on-time project delivery; Coordinate issue resolution with internal and external technical support providers.
  • Ensure appropriate IT processes, procedures, and standards are in place and adhered to and ensure schedules, financials, scope, and performance requirements of the various project are met.


Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related Science field; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
  • Must have a proven track record to lead a small-to-mid-sized team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage several complex projects at the same time
  • Effective project management and facilitation skills with a proven ability to lead project teams through complex requirements sessions and create business requirements documents.
  • Demonstrated ability managing application implementations in a GMP environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong analytical capabilities.
