The Position

Are you passionate about driving effective governance and ensuring smooth project execution? As a Project Governance & Portfolio Manager at Novo Nordisk, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and optimizing governance processes, fostering collaboration, and supporting key decision-making forums.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain governance processes for the Athlone Capital Expansion team  , ensuring alignment with ET (Emerging Technologies) governance standards.
  • Plan and coordinate with the ET Project Portfolio Manager to prepare for various Novo Nordisk Investment Portfolio Group (IPG) meetings.
  • Review and challenge IPG presentations, ensuring adherence to templates and accuracy in cost estimates.
  • Deliver training sessions to project managers on governance principles, processes, and best practices.
  • Monitor project progress, generate reports for key stakeholders, and support communication efforts related to Novo Nordisk decision forums.

 

This is a hybrid position, requiring a presence at our Athlone site a minimum of three days per week. 

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role we imagine that you have:

  • Hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Economics, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Have approximately 5 years of project management experience, with a background in investment or engineering capital projects being a plus. 
  • Familiarity with Clarity or similar project management software, along with experience in project portfolio management tools and reporting processes.
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry, pharma would be considered a plus.
  • Exhibit strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities, while showing a high degree of result orientation, analytical thinking, and a self-starter attitude.

 

About the Department

The Project Controls & Governance team is based in Athlone and focuses on driving effective governance processes for investment projects within the scope of the Athlone Capital Expansion team. We work closely with the ET Project Portfolio Managerto ensure project oversight and decision-making relating to capital investment approvals. Our team is dedicated to continuous improvement and collaboration, creating a dynamic and supportive atmosphere.

This is a newly created team and you will report to the Project Controls and Governance Lead.
