Your new role
As Manager, Clinical Operations, you'll provide strategic oversight and line management of clinical operations staff, ensuring both high performance and professional development while driving operational excellence across clinical trial execution. You'll be the driving force behind a team of Clinical Research Associates (CRAs) and Clinical Trial Assistants (CTAs), shaping how clinical trials are delivered with quality, compliance, and efficiency at the core.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, mentoring, and developing internal CRA and CTA teams while managing external clinical operations resources to meet trial management goals
- Defining and tracking performance metrics such as site visits, milestone completion, and data quality to ensure operational goals align with organizational objectives
- Conducting co-monitoring and quality visits with CRAs to ensure quality oversight, protocol adherence, and continuous inspection readiness
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Trial Managers and Study Start Up teams to align on resourcing, study priorities, timelines, and operational execution
- Embedding Risk-Based Quality Management (RBQM) principles within the clinical operations team to enhance risk-based decision-making
- Ensuring all clinical operations activities comply with ICH-GCP, applicable regulations, and internal SOPs through regular quality checks and corrective actions
- Creating comprehensive training plans and leading onboarding to ensure team members have clear role understanding and full adherence to regulatory requirements
Your new department
The Clinical Development Center in Greece (CDC GR) is a Team with highly skilled and ambitious colleagues responsible for the planning and execution of clinical trial activities in accordance with the Product Development Plans of Novo Nordisk.
The scope of our activities is phase I to IV clinical trials and non-interventional studies in collaboration with our Headquarters and local stakeholders. Our environment is characterized by a global network with challenging assignments in a project centric organization.
Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for an experienced clinical operations leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about developing high-performing teams. You'll bring with you:
- 4+ years' experience in clinical trial management and people management within the pharmaceutical industry or CRO environment
- A Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Strong track record in designing and implementing clinical trial strategies that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
- Proven experience leading multi-functional clinical teams, providing training oversight, and fostering collaboration to achieve clinical development objectives
- Demonstrated ability to ensure high-quality execution of clinical trial activities in compliance with ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements, and internal SOPs
- Strong project management capabilities including the ability to manage multiple clinical trials simultaneously while meeting timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels with clarity and impact
- Analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex problems and drive practical solutions that improve trial design and execution
- Flexibility to travel to sites to perform in-field co-visits, ensuring high-quality operational training and support for clinical teams
