Your new role
As our Regional Medical Advisor (RMA) -also known Medical Scientific Liaison- you will translate Novo Nordisk’s medical strategy into impactful local strategies and action plans in the Cardiometabolic arena, being a key partner for the healthcare professionals and for the internal teams. You will work in strong cross functional collaboration with other internal stakeholders (Medical Managers, Sales, Market Access and Marketing). Some of your responsibilities will be to:
- Plan and execute the Regional Medical Plan according to Medical Strategy and business goals.
- Build and maintain scientific relationships: Establish, nurture and expand strong, evidence-based relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professional, specialists and other relevant stakeholders to drive scientific exchange and advocacy for Novo Nordisk’s portfolio.
- Provide quality medical and scientific support, education and training to internal & external customers through scientific meetings, symposia, workshops and e-channels. Facilitate scientific exchange to enhance understanding of company products and therapeutic areas.
- Collect, analyse and provide insights for key business decisions across the value chain based on the unmet patient needs, physician needs and demands from health care systems.
- Provide medical support of local needs for the development portfolio including identification of sites for clinical trials, assessment of feasibility and patient recruitment through KOL relationships.
Your Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Life Science.
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience as Medical Scientific Liaison / Regional Medical Advisor in a pharmaceutical company.
- Proven ability to build relationships with HCPs/KOLs and to communicate complex scientific information clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Previous experience in cardiometabolic, cardiovascular, diabetes and/or obesity areas will be an advantage.
- Fluent Spanish/English
- Availability to travel up to 3 days per week
