Utilities, Facilities & Construction Manager

At the end of 2024, Novo Nordisk acquired the Catalent Anagni S.r.l. manufacturing site with the ambition of expanding our capacity to meet the needs of millions of patients. You will be joining a global team working on pharmaceutical plants that utilize advanced technologies within the site's fill & finish facilities.
As Utilities, Facilities & Construction Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing all non-process infrastructures at the Anagni site. Your focus will span from site-wide utilities and facilities to construction activities and permitting, ensuring that our environment remains safe, efficient, and future-ready. The Position
In this role you will be responsible for building and leading the dedicated Maintenance Group, managing the site’s Utilities, Clean Rooms, HVAC systems, FMS/BMS, Fire Prevention infrastructure, and general facility upkeep—excluding process equipment.
Your Main Accountabilities will be to:
- Manage the Facilities team responsible of Mechanical, Electrical, Black Utilities, HVAC and site facilities conduction and maintenance.
- Manage team of external consultants responsible for construction projects.
- Review, archive and ensure a proper lifecycle of the Engineering Documentation of the managed matters
- Support the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Management and Fulfillment in the Construction Area, and ensure the full compliance of the Italian Laws on the managed matters
- Handle the Maintenance Reliability of the managed matters having also act with responsibility by Law (U.R.I.) of the Electrical part for the managed matters
- Create a positive work environment and promote teamworking and speak-up culture, and be part of the Engineering Leadership Group playing an active role
This is a hybrid position based at our Anagni location, with 3 days onsite and 2 days working from home.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we imagine that you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related technical field.
- Proven managerial experience.
- Strong experience in project management within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry is essential, along with proven expertise in facilities and utilities maintenance.
- Experience in construction and site development will be considered a valuable asset.
- Fluency in both Italian and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
You should also be an excellent team player with cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to build effective internal networks.
About the Department
You’ll be joining a dynamic and growing team, where you’ll lead 5 direct reports and oversee an additional 6 second-line reports across maintenance and site management. You’ll guide specialized teams while also collaborating closely with external construction consultants on site-wide projects.
In this role, you will report directly to the Engineering & Site Facilities Manager, playing a key part in the continued growth and excellence of the Anagni site.
