At the end of 2024, Novo Nordisk acquired the Catalent Anagni S.r.l. manufacturing site with the ambition of expanding our capacity to meet the needs of millions of patients. You will be joining a global team working on pharmaceutical plants that utilize advanced technologies within the site's fill & finish facilities.

The Position

 

As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of engineering projects at our Anagni site.

You will be responsible for collaborate with the Project Manager (PM) during the entire lifecycle of capital expenditure projects, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and timeline expectations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Support CapEx projects from initiation to completion, collaborating with Project Managers on budgeting, resource planning, and timelines.
  • Act as Project Engineer within cross-functional teams (Sterility Assurance, Quality, Engineering, Production, Validation), ensuring alignment throughout all phases.
  • Coordinate with design firms, system/equipment suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution during design, construction, installation, and validation.
  • Oversee the procurement and development of tools, equipment, and machinery, ensuring compliance with cGMP, ISO 13485, and CFR 21 Part 111.
  • Facilitate effective communication and structured handovers at project close-out, ensuring long-term operational readiness.

 

This is a hybrid position based at our Anagni location, with 3 days onsite and 2 days working from home.

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we imagine that you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is essential for this role, while a Master’s degree is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in engineering projects, validation, or design activities, ideally within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry, with a focus on sterile or biological production environments.
  • English and Italian language fluency is a must.
  • A proven track record of having worked with projects, ensuring delivery within scope, time, quality, and budget constraints.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage teams and projects.

 

You should also be someone able to build and manage relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.

 

About the Department

You will be joining a fantastic team consisting of Project Managers, project Engineer and Process Engineers all reporting to the Capex & Process Engineering Manager. In this team, a positive mindset and strong collaboration are highly valued!
