The Position

As an FP&A & Insights Business Partner, you will be working as dedicated finance partner to our business units, actively supporting business decisions by translating financial data into business insights. Your tasks will span over business controlling, sales forecasting and finance partnering. The position entails a variety of activities from daily operational tasks to finance projects.

In more details, you will:

  • Drive strategic finance analyses and act as finance partner
  • Analyse both short- and long-term market trends to evaluate sales potential.
  • Conduct complex analyses and forecasts of finance and market data to support strategic and operational decisions of our management
  • Evaluate cost saving potential by working with Procurement and the Business Unit Directors in alignment with our long-term strategy and to reach our goals for sales and cost
  • Create business insights reporting for our sales business units

You will also perform finance controlling and ensure that budget in relation to annual cost is kept. Among your responsibilities, you will handle strictly confidential data regarding our strategy and support the Directors to ensure they have the needed funding to operate. Moreover, you will regularly connect with global finance colleagues to identify local improvement opportunities in our ways of working.

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you hold an MBA or master’s degree in finance, economics, engineering or any relevant field.

On top of what we would expect:

  • at least 4/5 years of relevant work experience as controller, business analyst, finance partner or alike with a focus on management reporting, financial planning, and analysis.
  • strong analytical skills, and you always strive for excellence
  • Fluency in English and Italian
  • Excellent technical skills (SAP, Alteryx, and PowerBI and/or Tableau)

As a person, you possess a can-do and proactive mindset, approaching tasks with positivity and doing whatever it takes to get the job done. You are comfortable taking on new responsibilities, readily identifying opportunities, and inviting yourself to the table. With excellent communication skills, you can explain complex situations in a concise and simple manner, and you collaborate effectively with people at all levels within the organization.

The Finance and Operations team works to provide strategic direction to the company, ensuring that everything we do is viable and built to last. Overseeing and safeguarding Novo Nordisk’s short and long-term planning, Finance and Operations works closely with the business across the organization to develop strategies and business plans, monitor industry trends, and provide operating recommendations.
