Your New Role
As a Legal, Ethic and Compliance Manager you will hold overall accountabilities for Legal and Business Ethics (BE) Compliance matters in the Commonwealth of Independent States Emerging Markets (CEM) Affiliate, providing proactive advice and risk assessment, in compliance with Novo Nordisk policies and external laws and regulations. You will represent Novo Nordisk vision, values, commitments in the daily conduct with the customers. The position is based in Kazakhstan. This position is office based.

The main responsibilities will be:
•Managing Compliance of the CEM Affiliate. Implementing the Global and IO BE Compliance Plan, policies and procedures within the CEM Affiliate as well as developing additional policies and procedures to address local law and pharma industry requirements to supplement the Global policies when needed.

• Managing legal documents & contracts. Providing high quality advice on BE Compliance issues and supporting staff by giving information and training as necessary. Managing BE Compliance Affairs of the CEM Affiliate. Networking internally and externally to ensure an aligned and effective approach to BE Compliance within the CEM Affiliate.

• Coordinate external law firms in line with Global Legal guidelines. Manage legal documents & contracts. Ensure an effective system for archiving legal documents. Ensure effective contract management, drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, as needed.

• Assessing legal & BE Compliance risks. and providing assessment to the Affiliate Management and BA Legal & Compliance Team, as relevant. Implementing action plans to minimize risk, together with the Affiliate Management Team and the BA Legal & Compliance Team.

• Collaborating with the BA Legal and Compliance Team, IO Legal and Compliance Team, GIA, BECO and Corporate Legal, on legal and BE Compliance activities, including assisting in roll out and reporting on significant initiatives.

 Your Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we require you to have Law degree from High-ranked Law School and fluent English.

To be effective in this role, it is mandatory to have:
• Experience as lawyer (minimum 3+ years’ legal experience with at least 2 years in the Pharmaceutical, FMCG, Chemical, Life Sciences, Medical device industry and/or in a tier-one law firm).

• Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical regulation and business transactions in the Affiliate.

• In-depth experience with Business Ethics and Compliance in pharmaceutical or medical device industry (including codes of conduct, FCPA and UK Anti-bribery Act)
As a person, you need to have excellent communication skills (verbal and nonverbal), which are essential to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
