The position will be covering the East Region and reporting to our Patient Education Manager.

 

The Position

The Patient Education Coordinator’s core job is to implement, execute & promote NovoCare® strategy in order to leverage diabetic patient skills to increase their autonomy to take their medications, take appropriate dietary actions, to live with the disease and to improve their quality of live.

 

The main responsibilities include:

  • Promote and implement NovoCare® program & strategy in Private & Public sector and act as the responsible for delivering diabetes education based on Standards of Care and Novo care program.
  • Help patients understand their conditions and provide advice on managing disease e.g. lifestyle (exercise or diet, Ramadan …), or disease education
  • Contribute to the development of national educational program and execute annual executive strategic plan
  • Coaching of the external educator’s team and enhance their performance development
  • Ensure that external educators have the appropriate knowledge on the disease by planning trainings with medical team and participate in congresses and regional events to raise awareness on NovoCare® programme and therapeutic education importance.

 

Qualifications

  • We expect you to have a bachelor’s degree in either medicine, pharmacy or nutrition or a related scientific field
  • Preferred 3 years’ experience in the relevant health profession
  • Diabetes care management experience preferred or in an environment with patient education activities
  • Experience in facilitating relationships between multiple stakeholders including the local practice, community partners, and allied health care professionals.
  • Experience delivering education to healthcare professionals and patients is considered an asset
  • License in patient/diabetes education and previous experience is an advantage
  • Experience in a Multinational Pharmaceutical company is preferred but not mandatory
  • Excellent communication in French is required, a good level in English is a plus.

The Clinical, Medical & Regulatory (CMR) department is responsible for the medical and scientific dialogue supporting the appropriate use of innovative treatments including Novo Nordisk products.

Medical Affairs ensure that Novo Nordisk’s activities are undertaken in an ethical and appropriately scientific manner, thereby safeguarding the trust and respect of health care professionals and patients. Medical Affairs is divided into an office team of Medical Advisors and a field team of Regional Medical Advisors.
