This is an exciting global opportunity to join Novo Nordisk Rare Disease as a Customer Engagement Manager, based in Istanbul, Turkey, reporting to the Senior Director and Head of Rare Disease Communication, Public Affairs and Sustainability based in Zurich, Switzerland.

 

The position

As a Customer Engagement Manager, you will be innovating the way we do congresses, work with our organisation to ensure adoption, and lead the execution of our congresses within rare diseases. You come as a project manager with strong execution and collaboration skills to drive cross functional work with core teams and external stakeholders. With your proactive mindset you will ensure a successful congress, executing on our global customer engagement strategy. Utilising your experience in congress and event management, you will be responsible for planning and executing around 10 congresses and events per year. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Being the project manager on our global congresses, responsible for the planning, execution, optimisation, and evaluation, using both personal and non-personal engagement channels, working closely with relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Leading the cross-functional teams to define the project objectives, scope, expected deliverables, stakeholder mapping, estimated cost, and timelines for medium and very complex projects, and secure project approval
  • Involving relevant stakeholders early in the process, setting the direction for them and defining key deliverables, timelines, and budget
  • Demonstrating subject matter expertise to guide colleagues and to apply your learnings from prior projects, while also considering broader Rare Disease therapy areas requirements and implications, when initiating a project
  • Providing suggestions for improvements and optimization of our customer engagement content, while also identifying synergies with concurrent projects in and outside the department

 

       Qualifications

You have a relevant academic degree, preferably a master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience within customer engagement and congress management in a multinational company. Having global experience and strong project management experience in a multinational organization. You have excellent command over both written and spoken English and have a relevant business background. This position requires 40% of travel accordingly to business needs.

 

  • International mindset, and clear understanding and sensitivity to different cultures, practices, and procedures in the countries or regions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities and effective time management skills
  • Proven success in brand strategy, customer engagement, congress management, marketing campaigns, and portfolio management
  • Experience from working in a multi-country setting and with project management involving senior stakeholders
  • Strong business drive with customer centric mindset, business acumen and ability to contribute to cross-functional collaboration
