Your new role

As Senior Strategic Partnership Director, you’ll be part of the Business Area North & Central leadership team, leading initiatives to identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships that align with Novo Nordisk's business objectives. You’ll bridge strategy and execution — overseeing partnership performance, identifying opportunities, and collaborating with both external and internal stakeholders across the markets we serve.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive strategic business partnerships and business development initiatives that create value for both patients and the business, while monitoring partnership performance and providing insights for continuous improvement.
  • Identify emerging trends and collaboration opportunities with healthcare providers, private clinics, e-Health platforms, pharmacies and insurance companies, while being involved in patient solutions programs that enhance access, education, and adherence in partnership with the local teams.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for the Leadership Team on partnership activities and outcomes, while collaborating with Commercial, Market access, Business Development and Medical teams to leverage partnerships for business growth.
  • Explore future business opportunities with internal and external stakeholders to foster new ecosystems aligned with the company vision, and support innovative commercial models and deals that address evolving market dynamics.
  • Analyze and identify growth opportunities across existing and potential portfolios, ensuring all projects and collaborations align with the overall strategy and must win battles

You’ll work independently balancing strategic foresight with hands-on execution, ensuring strong and impactful partnerships in our markets.

The position is partly office based in Copenhagen (Ørestad), Denmark, while also field focused across the markets we work within.

Your new department

You’ll join the BA N&C leadership team, a lean but strategic team driving business execution across our five markets. The Business Area North and Central is comprised of five affiliates: Denmark & Iceland, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. This area serves a total population of approximately 36 million people. The workforce consists of around 500 employees, contributing to a significant business operation and being the second largest unit within Europe & Canada (EUCAN) region in International Operations. The BA N&C unit is based in Copenhagen (Ørestad) Denmark, headed by the Corporate Vice President Jeppe Theisen (JPBT).

Your skills and qualifications

We’re looking for a strategic, entrepreneurial, and analytical professional who thrives at building partnerships, business development, and patient-centric innovation.

To succeed in this position, you’ll bring:

An academic degree within Business Management, Life Sciences, or related fields.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, key account management, sales management, marketing, or similar roles within consumer and customer-centric industries.
- Proven track record in negotiating and managing alliances with strong value creation outcomes.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive problem-solving and independent working ability within a collaborative team.
  • Strong networking and influencing skills.
  • Patient-centric approach with focus on impact and outcomes.
