As a Senior Search Manager, you will be at the forefront of our search strategy, working with executive-level visibility to ensure our search presence is optimized. We are looking for someone with 8-10 years of experience in SEO and search engine optimization, who can operate independently, set strategic direction, and communicate effectively with management and stakeholders. Ideally, you are currently in a "Head of Search" or "Head of SEO" role at an agency or a large company.
The position
As a Senior Search Manager at Novo Nordisk, you will:
- Develop and implement comprehensive SEO, GEO, and Paid Search strategies to enhance visibility and favourability of Novo Nordisk and its products globally.
- Establish a scalable search offering to markets via internal and external partners and specialists, focusing on driving business growth.
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging search trends and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align search strategies with organisational and commercial objectives.
- Monitor, analyse, and refine search performance metrics to maximise impact.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the organisation to achieve excellence within search.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on SEO, GEO and Paid Search.
- Preferably 2-3 years as head of search at an agency with experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving digital marketing initiatives.
- A Master’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Data Analytics or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven capability in market research, competitor analysis and forecasting search trends (including LLM/AI implications).
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and training skills.
- Experience working in a matrix organization is a plus.
Your stakeholder management and communication skills will be critical, as you will need to coordinate efforts across multiple departments to drive organizational change. You will also play a key role in translating complex technical concepts into actionable guidance for non-experts.
About the department
Your new department IO FAST Content is our internal digital agency and the Digital Activation team builds strategies and executes campaigns across paid, earned and owned channels. You will report to the Director of Digital Media Activation and work closely with colleagues in Denmark and our execution unit in Bangalore, India, partnering with analytics, content and regional marketing teams to deliver integrated search outcomes.
