Your new role
As Senior Director Medical Affairs Alzheimer's Disease, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic scientific and medical development of Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) as a new therapeutic area across International Operations (IO). The role combines scientific leadership with business acumen, building strong collaborations with regional and country teams while ensuring the successful launch and positioning of our treatment. You will drive capability-building, scientific engagement, and data dissemination to strengthen our presence in this critical field. This role is based in Copenhagen.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Lead the strategic medical and scientific communication of AD across IO, with a strong focus on specialist engagement and patients.
- Partner with regional and country teams to maximise AD/dementia attribute in support of product launch.
- Build AD expertise within the medical function through onboarding programmes, competency development, and best-practice sharing.
- Develop and execute medical tactics and initiatives that reinforce AD scientific messaging across IO markets.
- Map patient journeys and treatment patterns, create influencer networks, and engage directly with key thought leaders and HCPs.
- Ensure regional and affiliate insights are represented in global development and medical strategies.
- Drive and support AD data dissemination initiatives aligned with IO medical and commercial priorities.

You will be part of the International Operations (IO) department, joining an experienced, diverse, and highly collaborative team working at the forefront of Alzheimer’s and cardiovascular disease. You will have the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects, collaborate with experts across multiple therapeutic areas, and help shape the future of medical and scientific strategies in a dynamic, innovative setting.
Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for a driven medical leader with a deep passion for advancing science, preferably in neuroscience, dementia, or Alzheimer’s disease. You combine strong scientific expertise with the ability to inspire and engage diverse stakeholders. Experienced in complex therapeutic landscapes, you thrive in international environments, translate science into clear messages, and connect medical affairs with business priorities. Professionals with backgrounds in rare diseases, oncology, or cardiology are also highly valued. Fluency in English is mandatory.
Main qualifications:
- At least 7 years of experience, preferably in neuroscience, dementia, or Alzheimer’s disease, but also strong profiles from rare diseases, oncology, or cardiology are welcomed
- Proven expertise in medical affairs with direct involvement in pre-launch activities and the broader medical affairs mix
- Solid understanding of drug development principles and the regulatory environment for new drug approvals (EMA, FDA, China)
- Experience collaborating across international and cross-functional teams (clinical operations, marketing, market access, regulatory affairs)
- Strong network within the medical and scientific community, with the ability to engage in high-level discussions with internal and external stakeholders
